The Top 10 Products you will need when getting a puppy!
A water and food bowl, our favorite at the moment is the AVA bowls set. This comes with a water bowl, food bowl, and a tray to put them on.
A dog bed, our best-sellers are the Fantail and Nordog beds. These are both available for custom orders in any of their colors and sizes.
A collar/harness and leash. We have a large variety of different brands and types when it comes to these products. It ultimately depends on what you are most comfortable with. Our most popular brands are Furlou and MaxBone.
Toys are a must! We recommend getting a few different types of toys.
A plushie toy will be your puppy’s best friend when they are little.
A chew toy will be perfect while they are teething.
An enrichment toy will help keep them busy and fight boredom.
Puppy food. Of course, your pup will need some puppy-specific food. There are so many different options and I know that choosing the right one can feel very overwhelming. We always recommend trying to find a food that focuses on high-quality ingredients with few additives. Our favorites are Eden (kibble) and Darf (kibble/fresh meat).
Puppy-friendly treats. Not all treats can be given to dogs of all ages, it is very important to check all details to find out if the product is puppy-friendly. Oftentimes, treats are for dogs from 3 months old and up. Our favorite brands for puppies of all ages are Raw For Paw and Gizzls.
An ID tag is also always a great addition just in case you ever need it. We personally have the Charlie and Jones collar which is embroidered with your puppy’s name and your phone number. We recommend this as your ID since an actual tag can still fall off.
Poop Bags. I think this speaks for itself but poop bags are essential for any dog owner. We have a scented and unscented option.
A blanket. Puppies love to be kept cozy and snuggle up which is why blankets are a great addition to your puppy list. TIP: give the blanket to the breeder a few weeks in advance so that the mother’s scent is on it once you pick your puppy up.
Bully sticks! This is a very underrated snack if you ask me. Bully sticks are 100% beef natural chews and can keep your puppy busy for hours. This of course depends on how quick of a chewer your dog is but it is a great option, especially when they are teething.
